Ashley Murtha and Haley Stahl each scored two goals and helped lead the Marlin girls’ varsity hockey team over Watertown 7-5 Saturday in Mitchell.
Ashley Zimmer, Kayla Murtha and Kassi Barington also scored one goal apiece in the win.
Goalie Hannah Spates had 28 saves in the game and Mitchell had 35 shots on goal.
The Marlins improved to 3-3-2 on the season and play Oahe at 8 p.m. Saturday in Oahe.
Green Bay beats USD men 72-55

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Alec Brown scored 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting, grabbed eight rebounds and Green Bay went on to defeat South Dakota 72-55 on Saturday night.
Brown scored Green Bay’s first seven points to give the Phoenix a 7-2 lead early, but South Dakota (5-8) stormed back, going on a 15-4 run capped by a Brandon Bos jumper with 10:34 remaining in the first half to give the Coyotes a 17-11 lead.
Keifer Sykes and 17 points and eight assists for the Phoenix (5-7). Trevor Gruis scored 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting to lead South Dakota.
Boise State edges Coyote women 52-50 Saturday

BOISE, Idaho — Boise State defeated the University of South Dakota women’s basketball team 52-50 Saturday in Boise, Idaho.
Diana Lee and Miquelle Askew had double-digit points for the Broncos (6-5) with 13 and 12.
The Coyotes (5-8) had three players in double-digit scoring figures. Nicole Seekamp led the team with 13 points, Tempestt Wilson recorded 11 points and Polly Harrington added 10 in the loss. Harrington had a team-high six rebounds.
USD shot 30 percent from the field and was 1-of-15 in three-point baskets.
USD hosts Omaha Sunday in Brookings.
