LETTER: Obama trying to push an ‘Act of Supremacy’President Barack Obama is using the upcoming fabricated “fiscal cliff” to intimidate the Republicans into signing his “Act of Supremacy.”

To the Editor:
President Barack Obama is using the upcoming fabricated “fiscal cliff” to intimidate the Republicans into signing his “Act of Supremacy.” President Obama’s actions are reminiscent of King Henry VIII’s actions in the 1530s when the king wanted to have his highly respected adviser, Sir Thomas More, sign the King’s “Act of Supremacy,” which would have given the king the authority to establish the Church of England to circumvent the Church of Rome so the king could get church approval of his divorce from his wife. For refusing to sign the Act, Sir Thomas More was executed for treason.
President Obama and most of the media are daily trying to demoralize and neutralize the Republicans by accusing them of being stubborn, against the American people, only for protecting the rich, etc., because the Republicans are trying to save the country from having the Constitution shredded. It seems reasonable that the Republicans have two options:
1. Do nothing and allow the deal to become law, the deal that the president and the Republicans made the last time the debt ceiling was raised, which the president signed onto so he could get the debt ceiling raised and now wants to renege on; or
2. Agree to extending all current tax rates for everyone; to approve the Keystone pipeline and open up all sources of development and production of all types of energy; to stop the funding of the Affordable Care Act, including the thousands of IRS agents to end any further implementation of it; to reduce food stamp recipient numbers to pre-President Obama’s tenure; and end unemployment benefit extensions and return unemployment benefits for new applicants to the amount before extensions were added.
