LETTER: More laws will not stop future violence

To the Editor:
I see from the recent shootings in Connecticut, Mr. Obama and his liberal base are now again calling for stricter gun laws and outright ban of some firearms. Since 1973, this country has performed 54,559,615 abortions. In 2009, the first full year of Obama’s hope and change presidency, Planned Parenthood performed 332,278 abortions. The 332,278 abortions Planned Parenthood performed over the 365 days of 2009 equals 910 lives terminated per day or about 38 per hour, or one about every 95 seconds. Planned Parenthood also received $363.2 million in government grants and contracts during its fiscal year that ended June 30, 2009.
Now, what I find appalling here is our federal government, with Obama at the helm, funded genocide on 332,278 little souls in 2009. Not once did you see Obama or any liberal crony, like Pelosi, Reid, Holder, Feinstein or any liberal congressman or woman wipe away fake tears or call for an immediate ban on abortions. Nor did you see any of the liberal mainstream media reporting on these acts of mass murder.
Now I would ask if any of your readers find it just a bit unsettling that this country has performed genocide on more than 55 million little souls, and few are concerned. More laws on law-abiding citizens restricting freedoms is not the answer. Putting the constitution, God, morals and the wisdom of our Founding Fathers and discipline back in our schools and government, however, is. Think about it, when we had One Nation Under God, prayer and discipline in our government, schools and society, acts of such above mentioned, existed not.
Ave Maria, Oro Pro Nobis (Hail Mary, pray for us).
