Mitchell’s Riley Bietz bowled his first-ever 300 Thursday at the Village Bowl in Mitchell.
Bietz, 21, had a total of 902 in a four-game series during the Palace City League. Bietz bowls for the Mitchell Area Security team.
SDSU women top Georgetown 64-58

WASHINGTON, D.C. — For the first time in eight games, South Dakota State University women’s basketball team defeated a Big East Conference opponent.
Behind the 27-point performance of Ashley Eide, the Jackrabbits beat Georgetown 64-58 Friday in Washington, D.C.
Eide hit seven 3-pointers and grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds to lead the Jackrabbits (8-5).
The Hoyas (7-4) were led by Sugar Rodgers, who scored a game-high 31 points. Rodgers was 10-of-23 from the field and 6-of-7 from the free throw line.
SDSU takes on North Dakota State Sunday in Brookings.
