RAPID CITY (AP) — Authorities say a federal fugitive has been captured in Rapid City.
The media reports that the U.S. Marshals Service and local authorities arrested 22-year-old Barry Allman shortly before noon on Tuesday.
Authorities say Allman was furloughed from Hughes County Jail in Pierre in late November to attend a funeral, but he did not return to the jail.
Allman pleaded guilty to two federal charges of assault resulting in serious bodily injury on Nov. 20.
Allman was accused of firing a handgun at the ground while attending a party on the Rosebud Indian Reservation. Authorities say two men were injured when bullets ricocheted off the ground.
