Sioux Falls men finalists for Burger King award

Burger King Worldwide Inc. has named Tom Walsh Sr. and Tom Walsh Jr. as finalists for its North America Franchisee of the Year Award.

Burger King Worldwide Inc. has named Tom Walsh Sr. and Tom Walsh Jr. as finalists for its North America Franchisee of the Year Award.

The father and son team, of Sioux Falls, has 30 Burger King restaurants, mostly in South Dakota. Their company has won numerous local, regional and national awards for operational excellence, community involvement and development programs.

Dakota King Inc. also gives back by being involved in more than 300 charitable and nonprofit programs in their communities, such as the American Cancer Society, Boy Scouts of America, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and more.
