Parkston Basketball Classic pairings set

PARKSTON — The boys’ and girls’ pairings are set for the 33rd annual Parkston Basketball Classic on Dec. 28-29 at the National Guard Armory in Parkston.

The girls’ teams will play on the first day of the classic, Friday, Dec. 28, as Corsica/Stickney vs. Highmore/Harrold kick off the day at 10 a.m. The second game is Madison vs. Beresford at 11:30 a.m. and is followed by Ethan vs. Viborg-Hurley at 1 p.m.

The matchup between Wagner and Tri-Valley is set for 2:30 p.m., Hanson vs. Centerville is slated for 4 p.m. and Sully Buttes vs. Warner is at 4 p.m.

The final two girls’ matchups are Parkston vs. Dell Rapids, which begins at 7 p.m., and Clark/Willow Lake vs. St. Thomas More, which is set for 8:30 p.m.

The boys’ matchups are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 29.

The opening game of Corsica/Stickney vs. Wolsey/Wessington kicks off the day at 10 a.m. and is followed by Sulley Buttes vs. Wessington Springs at 11:30 a.m., McCook Central/Montrose vs. Miller at 1 p.m.

The game between Viborg-Hurley and Ethan is slated for 2:30 p.m., Wagner vs. Garretson face off at 4 p.m. and Warner vs. James Valley Christian is set for 5:30 p.m.

The final two games of the classic are Parkston vs. Sisseston, which is set for 7 p.m., and Aberdeen Roncalli vs. Mount Vernon/Plankinton, which play at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets for adults will be sold for six dollars and student tickets are four dollars.
