The event was part of the band’s 11-city tour, and a portion of all the Holiday Jam CD sales will benefit South Dakota Make-A-Wish. Other upcoming musical events include Christmas at the Carnegie at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Carnegie Resource Center in Mitchell; admission is free, but event organizers ask that attendees bring a food or monetary donation for the local food pantry. At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Area Community Theater will host Home for the Holidays, featuring a bevy of local musicians and members of the cast of the recently performed “White Christmas.” Tickets are $7; for more information, contact ACT at 996-9137. Next week, the Oak Ridge Boys will perform their Christmas Time’s A-Changing concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Corn Palace in Mitchell.
