ARMOUR — Ali Kuca had 21 points and nine rebounds, Jessa Doom had 13 points and Gina Soukup added 10 points to help Wagner beat Tripp-Delmont/Armour 60-37 Monday in a high school girls’ basketball game.
Soukup, Doom and Clarissa Medicine Horn each had seven rebounds for the Red Raiders, who shot 27-of-76 from the field. Wagner was 6-of-9 from the free-throw line, had 42 rebounds and 11 turnovers.
TDA’s Hannah Just had 15 points, Jessica Sandau added 10 points. LaNae Fuerst had eight rebounds and Sandau had seven. The Nighthawks were 14-of-51 from the field, 8-of-11 from the free-throw line and had 34 rebounds. TDA had 25 turnovers on the night.
Wagner (3-0) also won the JV game and plays West Central in Hartford on Friday, while TDA (0-4) hosts Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Thursday in Armour.

SIOUX FALLS — The McCook Central/Montrose girls’ basketball team suffered its first loss of the season as it fell to Sioux Falls Christian 47-33 Monday.
Natasha Krempges had 10 points and eight rebounds for the Fighting Cougars. Stefani Matthies recorded eight points.
Sioux Falls Christians' Kristen Stern led all players with 15 points and added eight rebounds. Hayley McCarron added 14 points in the win. The Chargers also won the JV game.
MCM (2-1) plays at Howard Friday, while Sioux Falls Christian (3-0) plays Elk Point-Jefferson Friday.

MOUNT VERNON — Darbi Gustafson scored 13 points and six rebounds to help lead Ethan to a 48-21 victory over Mount Vernon/Plankinton in a high school girls’ basketball game Monday.
Whitney Endres tallied nine points for the Rustlers.
The Titans were led by Jor-dan Achterberg, who had eight points. Megan Bultsma recorded five blocks.
Ethan (1-1) plays at Scot-land Saturday, while MVP (0-4) plays Bridgewater-Emery Thursday in Emery.

ALEXANDRIA -- The Hanson girls’ basketball team improved to 3-0 after defeating Parkston 68-59 Monday in Alexandria.
The Beavers were led by Kynedi Cheeseman, who tallied 14 points and eight steals. Cassidy Graham finished with seven steals and 11 points. Kendra Cheeseman led all players with 19 points.
Parkston lost its first game of the season despite having four players in double figures. Erica Herrold and Krista Radke finished with 15 points apiece. Sadie Schoenfelder scored 12 and Alexis Horstman added 10.
Hanson plays Menno Friday in Menno. Parkston (2-1) hosts Chamberlain Friday in Parkston.

PLATTE — Coby Johnson recorded a double-double in Platte-Geddes’ 63-43 victory over Andes Central in high school boys’ basketball action Monday.
Johnson led the Black Pan-thers with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Tate Van Zee had 16 points and Matthew Randall had 13 points and nine rebounds.
Andes Central’s Zach Cournoyer recorded 14 points and Gabe Cournoyer tallied 10 points. Aaron Swanson added 10 rebounds in the loss.
Platte-Geddes (2-0) plays South Central Monday in Platte, while Andes Central (0-1) hosts Mitchell Christian Friday in Lake Andes.

IRENE — Cody Bunger recorded 29 points to help lead the Canistota boys’ basketball team over Irene-Wakonda 58-37 Monday in Irene.
Canistota’s Boone DeKramer had 10 points, Alex Robertson tallied nine points and Jason VanWinkle had six points and led all players with 15 rebounds.
Irene-Wakonda was led by Garrett Anderson with seven points.
Canistota (2-0) plays Free-man Thursday in Freeman, while Irene-Wakonda (0-1) hosts Viborg-Hurley Friday in Wakonda.

FREEMAN — Jordan Rine-hart tallied 17 points in Free-man’s 64-57 win over Bon Homme Monday in Freeman.
Shaun Becker had 12 points and nine rebounds for Freeman. Freeman shot 41 percent from the field, while Bon Homme shot 47 percent.
Freeman out rebounded Bon Homme 29-20.
Bon Homme was led by Kodi Larson, who had 14 points. Hunter Young tallied 12 points and Scott Wieseler had 11. Dakota Bodden added seven rebounds for the Cavaliers, who won the JV game 39-34.
Freeman (1-1) hosts Canistota Thursday, while Bon Homme (1-1) hosts Mount Vernon/Plankinton Thursday.

HURLEY — Viborg-Hurley defeated Scotland 65-18 in a high school basketball game Monday in Hurley.
Jack Huether had 18 points and Tyler Gerdes had 12 points for the Cougars. Andrew Hora had 10 rebounds and Trevor Jacob-sen recorded five steals. The Cougars won the JV game 46-27.
Scotland’s Anthony Walloch led the team with seven points.
VH, (2-0) plays Irene-Wakonda Friday in Wakonda, while Scotland (0-2) hosts Bon Homme Friday.

BRIDGEWATER — Bridge-water-Emery picked up its first win of the year Monday, knocking off Dell Rapids St. Mary 54-44.
BE’s Jacob Schweitzer had 15 points and Clayton had 14 points. Terry Weber added 12 points and 13 rebounds. Dye had 12 rebounds for a double-double.
The Huskies were 19-of-63 from the field, 13-of-20 from the free-throw line and won the rebounding battle 46-34. BE had 25 turnovers to DRSM’s 15.
DRSM was led by Ethan Schmidt, Jared Scholten and Mitch Roemen, who each had 10 points. Roemen added nine rebounds.
DRSM won the JV game and fell to 0-2 on the season. B-E (1-1) plays Tripp-Delmont/Armour in Armour Saturday.
