Police: Shot fired during Sioux Falls 'road rage' incident

Police say two vehicles swerved at each other for several blocks when the lead vehicle slammed on the brakes, causing the other vehicle to rear-end it at about 2 a.m.

SIOUX FALLS (AP) — Sioux Falls Police say at least one shot was fired during a “road rage” traffic incident early Saturday morning

Police say two vehicles swerved at each other for several blocks when the lead vehicle slammed on the brakes, causing the other vehicle to rear-end it at about 2 a.m.

Police say a gunshot from the rear vehicle went through the windshield and lodged into the back of the front vehicle. No one was injured.

Police say 23-year-old Jessie Quarve was charged with drunken driving, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.

Police say 29-year-old Matthew Wayne Leiss was charged with reckless driving.
