Davison County Commission to discuss generator transfer switch

Davison County commissioners will meet in regular session at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the courthouse, 200 E. Fourth Ave. Mitchell.

Davison County commissioners will meet in regular session at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the courthouse, 200 E. Fourth Ave. Mitchell.

The agenda includes:

9 a.m. Pledge of Allegiance, approval of past meeting minutes, citizen input.

9:30 a.m. Renewal of liquor and wine licenses.

9:40 a.m. Emergency Management Director Jim Montgomery, with a status report on a project to wire a generator transfer switch into the county fairgrounds building’s electrical system. The switch will allow a generator to be plugged into specified circuits, in the event of an emergency. Homeland Security funds will pay for the project.

9:45 a.m. Treasurer Brenda Veldheer, regarding an employee probationary raise.

10 a.m. Highway Superintendent Rusty Weinberg, with information on a bridge weight limit posting and a trailer purchase.

10:15 a.m. Closed executive session with Sheriff Dave Miles; Chief Deputy Steve Brink on personnel matters.

10:45 a.m. Corrections Administrator Don Radel, about a new jail hire.

11 a.m. Board of Adjustment

11:15 a.m. Approve a plat, as recommended by the county planning and zoning commission.

11:30 a.m. Miscellaneous items; approval of bills for payment; consideration to approve an automatic supplement to the budget with state transportation improvement project funds; note the balance of the auditor’s account with the treasurer.

Additional note: The Davison County Drainage Board will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the courthouse.
