Marlin girls drop a pair of games to Brookings

The Mitchell Marlin girls’ varsity hockey team suffered a pair of losses to Brookings over the weekend.

The Mitchell Marlin girls’ varsity hockey team suffered a pair of losses to Brookings over the weekend.

The Marlins were shut out in both games, losing Saturday’s game 9-0.

Brookings’ Hallie Theodosopoulos scored three goals in the first of two games. Brookings scored three goals in the first period, five in the second and one in the final period of the game.

Marlins’ goalie Hannah Spates made 29 saves in the game.

In Sunday’s game, Brookings only beat Mitchell by one, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Spates again made 29 saves in the game.
