FARGO — Mitchell’s Taylin Alm was offered a full-ride scholarship to play volleyball at North Dakota State University, an NCAA Division I school, Sunday.
The junior middle hitter visited the university over the weekend.
“I’m not making any decisions about college until after the summer,” Alm said. “I’m keeping my options open.”
MCHS girls’ basketball game postponed

The Mitchell Christian girls’ basketball game vs. Wessington Springs, which was set to play Saturday, was postponed due to weather.
The game has yet to be rescheduled.
Ball State rallies for 62-51 win over South Dakota

MUNCIE, Ind. — Jauwan Scaife scored 14 points, Majok Majok continued to dominate the glass and Ball State rallied past South Dakota for a 62-51 victory Saturday.
Marcus Posley added 12 points off the bench for the Cardinals (4-4), and Chris Bond had 11 points and 11 rebounds. Majok, a junior-college transfer coming off a career-high 17 rebounds in Wednesday’s win over Holy Cross, grabbed 16 boards and added nine points.
Steve Tecker had 15 points and Trevor Gruis 14 for the Coyotes (4-6), who tied the back-and-forth game at 39 on Brandon Bos’ 3-pointer with 12 minutes to play. But a 15-5 Ball State run, capped by Scaife’s 3-pointer with 5:53 left, put the Cardinals up 54-44. South Dakota later pulled within 54-51 but didn’t score again.
Ball State shot 43 percent from the field, but that was better than South Dakota’s 34 percent — including 4 of 25 on 3-pointers.
South Dakota St. beats Cal State Bakersfield 69-63

BROOKINGS, S.D. — Nate Wolters returned from injury and scored 18 points to lead South Dakota State past Cal State Bakersfield 69-63 on Sunday — the Jackrabbits’ 23rd consecutive home victory.
Wolters, who missed two games with a sprained ankle, also had six assists and seven rebounds. Tony Fiegen added 16 points for South Dakota State (8-3), winner of seven of its last eight. The Jackrabbits’ only loss in that stretch came on Tuesday at No. 14 Minnesota.
Brayden Carlson scored 12 points and Jordan Dykstra added 11 points for the Jackrabbits. Only Syracuse (28) and Kansas (26) have longer home-court winning streaks. South Dakota State’s next six games are on the road.
Britton Williams led the Roadrunners (3-6) with 18 points. Stephon Carter scored 17 points and Brandon Barnes and Javante Maynor each scored 10 for Bakersfield.
The game was delayed 30 minutes due to a blizzard.
