LOWER BRULE — A Lower Brule man pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of abusive sexual contact. Merle Wilson, 56, now faces a maximum of three years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
The charge stems from a July 31 incident in which Wilson had sexual contact with a female victim, who at the time was incapable of appraising the nature of the conduct and was physically incapable of rejecting the sexual contact.
Wilson was released on bond pending sentencing, which has been set for February.
