Van Laecken, Glanzer lead MCHS girls in win

IROQUOIS — The Mitchell Christian guard tandem of Becca Glanzer and Alexa Van Laecken were at it again Friday night.

The duo scored 35 of the Eagles’ 58 points to help lead MCHS to a road 58-34 victory over Iroquois and its second win of the season.

Glanzer led all scorers with 22 points while Van Laecken finished with 13. Emily Reynen added 11 points and a team-leading nine rebounds.

The Eagles finished the night with 21 steals on defense, seven of which came from Glanzer. Van Laecken was not far behind with six.

Mitchell Christian plays Wessington Springs at 6:30 p.m. today in Mitchell.
