Things to remember
SUPPORT GROUP WON’T MEET UNTIL JANUARY: The Caregivers Support Group will not meet in December. The next meeting will be at 2 p.m. on Jan. 22, at the Avera Queen of Peace Hospitality House, Mitchell.
SACRED CHRISTMAS MUSIC CONCERT PLANNED: A concert of sacred Christmas music will be presented at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, at First Reformed Church, Mitchell.
There will be small groups and the Senior Choir singing. A fellowship time will follow the concert.
DAV AND AUXILIARY PLAN CHRISTMAS DINNER: The DAV No. 7 an Auxiliary will hold a Christmas dinner at noon on Saturday, Dec. 8, at the VFW Club Rooms, MItchell.
The meeting will follow the dinner and use the west door.

Today in local history
On this date in 2011, the Davison County Commission established the Davison County Housing and Redevelopment Commission, which allowed Davison County residents outside of Mitchell access to federal housing assistance by early 2012.
