BROOKINGS — The life and works of South Dakota native Vine Deloria Jr., American Indian author and scholar, will be celebrated at the 2013 Great Plains Writers’ Conference March 24-26 at South Dakota State University.
March 26, 2013, would have marked the 80th birthday of the late Lakota writer, considered by some to be one of 20th century America’s most vibrant and far-reaching thinkers and authors.
