Amanda M. Heiberger, 28, Salem, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, as the result of an automobile accident.

She was born on Sept. 11, 1984. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Salem.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today at Kinzley Funeral Home, Salem, with a 3 p.m. rosary. Visitation will resume at 6 p.m. today at the church with a 7 p.m. rosar, followed by a prayer service.

Amanda Heiberger was born to Tim and Doreen (Sinclair) Heiberger in Chamberlain.

She spent most of her youth in Salem, where she attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and McCook Central High School. She then attended the University of South Dakota, where she attained her bachelor’s degree.

Mandy was working as a counselor at McCrossan Boys Ranch at the time of her death. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her little boy, Connor.

She is survived by her son, Connor, Salem; her significant other, Mike Morehead; her parents, Tim (Mary Jo Ball); and Dee (Todd Tuschen), both of Salem; one sister, Melinda, Sioux Falls; a niece, Haley, Sioux Falls; grandparents: Cy and Millie Heiberger, Salem; and Myrna Arnburg, Coleridge, Neb.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Jessica; and two grandfathers: Vince Arnburg and Terry Sinclair.

Memorials can be directed to First Dakota National Bank in Salem in Connor’s name.
