Standoff ends with Sioux Falls man in custody

SIOUX FALLS (AP) — A man has been taken into custody following a standoff in central Sioux Falls that forced authorities to close streets and locked down at least one school.

Local media report that the man was taken into custody shortly before 6 p.m. Monday. The standoff started several hours earlier in the 400 block of North Indiana Avenue near Sixth Street.
