DWU's Brunke qualifies for nationals in half marathon

Scotland native and Dakota Wesleyan freshman Haley Brunke qualified for the 2013 NAIA outdoor track and field national championships by meeting the “B” provisional standard at the Midland Half Marathon Saturday in Fremont, Neb.

Scotland native and Dakota Wesleyan freshman Haley Brunke qualified for the 2013 NAIA outdoor track and field national championships by meeting the “B” provisional standard at the Midland Half Marathon Saturday in Fremont, Neb.

Brunke took fourth in the half marathon in 1 hour, 31.5 minutes. She finished one second behind the third-place runner.

The outdoor national championships are being hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University May 24-26 in Marion, Ind.
