Richard Tesch, 46, Chamberlain, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Dougherty Hospice House, Sioux Falls.

Richard Tesch, 46, Chamberlain, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Dougherty Hospice House, Sioux Falls.

He was born on Feb. 15, 1966.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church, Chamberlain. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Chamberlain.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Monday at Hickey Funeral Chapel, Chamberlain, with a 7 p.m. prayer service. The Rev. Doyle Hall, Calvary Baptist Church; and the Rev. Larry Gouin, Four Square Gospel Church, will officiate.

Richard Tesch was born at Watertown, Minn., to William Gene “Bill” and Jane (Bjorklund) Tesch.

He attended school in Buffalo, Minn.

Richard worked at various places in Minnesota as a cook.

He moved to Mitchell, where he worked for a few years before moving to Chamberlain and began working at St. Joseph’s Indian School.

He continued working there until his health forced him to retire.

On July 18, 2007, Richard was united in marriage to Mary Stoll-White Bird at Chamberlain.

He loved going to Bible study and also enjoyed doing yard work.

His daughter, Jane, was the joy of his life.

Gratefully sharing in his life are his wife, Mary, Chamberlain; mother, Jane Hurley and husband John, Mitchell; children: Jane Morgan Tesch and Nick and Chris White Bird; three stepbrothers, a stepsister and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
