Today’s second-round Football Championship Subdivision playoff game between South Dakota State and North Dakota State will not be on television.
It will be streamed exclusively on ESPN3.com, with coverage starting at 3 p.m.
That means the game will not be televised but only available online for those who have Midcontinent Communications or other providers of ESPN3, a website that broadcasts a wide variety of sporting events.
“When ESPN pays for the rights, there’s not much we can do about it,” SDSU Sports Information Director Jason Hove said. “The later round games will be televised on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. We’d like to have as many people watch it as possible, but hopefully we win and it becomes less of a moot point.”
Audio coverage of today’s game is scheduled to be available via KORN Radio 1490 AM. Local radio coverage begins at 2 p.m. Central time on the Jackrabbit Sports Network with Tyler Merriam on the play-by-play.
