RAPID CITY (AP) — A Rapid City man who used a pellet gun to rob a casino last summer has been sentenced to eight years in prison.
Twenty-five-year-old Billy Robertson pleaded guilty last month to robbing the King of Hearts Casino in July. Prosecutors dismissed other charges in return for the guilty plea to first-degree robbery.
The combination of the charges and Robertson's criminal history could have landed him in prison for life. He was sentenced Monday.
