Football players named to SESD Conference team

WINNER — The Winner football team has 10 players who were named to the Southeast South Dakota all-Conference team.

Seniors Tanner Fritz, Ben Connot, Trace Meyer, Kyle Bertram, Tate Novotny, Michael Hofeldt, Isiah Old Lodge, Adam Farner and Grant Toman received the honor for the Warriors. Kray Krolikowski is the only junior to receive the honor for Winner.

Fritz threw 11 TDs for Winner this season and Connot led the Warriors on the ground with 1,044 yards and 15 TDs. Meyer and Bertram each had 10 rushing TDs. Farner had 72 tackles and Toman had 55.

Bon Homme seniors Thomas Mitzel, Blasé Vanecek, Dakota Bodden, Sawyer Fridrich, Alec Weber, Kodi Larson and Steven Smith were also given all-conference honors.

For Parkston, sophomore Austin Bertram, sophomore Wes Dvorak, sophomore Brady Reiff, junior Miles Semmler, senior Jesse Thuringer, senior Parker Van Zee and senior Henry Wegehaupt were named to the all-SESD Conference team.

For Wagner, David Kocer, Joe Mattis Dakota Zephier, Chris Kuca, Ryan Link, Dylan Brunsing and Austin Soukup made the list.

Seniors Richard Sternberg, Drew Turnis, Zack Warejcka and Jake Spolstra were named to the all-conference team for Platte-Geddes/Dakota Christian.
