RAPID CITY — No. 2 Aberdeen Central defeated No. 6 Huron 25-18, 25-14, 26-24 in a consolation match Friday at the Class AA state volleyball tournament at Rapid City Central High School.
The victory secured the Eagles a spot to play for fifth place against Sioux Falls O’Gorman at 2:45 p.m. Central time today.
Lauren McCafferty led Aberdeen with 10 kills. Kelsey Hannigan recorded 16 set assists and seven digs and Meggie Hanson tallied 23 digs.
Huron’s Katelyn Allerdings led all players with 16 kills and added two blocks. MaKayla Goergen had 24 set assists, nine digs and two blocks.
Huron plays Mitchell for seventh place at 1 p.m. Central time today.
Sioux Falls Washington 3, Watertown 1
RAPID CITY — No. 4 Sioux Falls Washington beat No. 8 Watertown in four sets in the semifinal round of the Class AA state volleyball tournament Friday.
Set scores were 25-27, 25-12, 25-10, 25-19.
Washington will play Sioux Falls Roosevelt in the championship match at 9 p.m. Central time today.
Washington’s Emma Hanson had 18 kills, eight digs and five blocks in the win. Hannah Nieman recorded 50 set assists, 12 digs and three aces.
Watertown’s Ashtin McClemans had 14 kills, five digs and two blocks, Emily Pengilly recorded 21 set assists and 11 digs and Hannah Whitlock added 22 digs.
Watertown plays Rapid City Stevens for third place at 7 p.m. Central time today.
Sioux Falls Roosevelt 3,

RAPID CITY — No. 3 Sioux Falls Roosevelt beat No. 7 Rapid City Stevens in four sets in the semifinal round of the Class AA state volleyball tournament Friday.
Set scores were 25-11, 20-25, 25-15, 25-17.
Roosevelt’s Maggie DeJong led all players with 17 kills and added nine digs, three blocks and two aces. Erinn Temple recorded 48 set assists, five digs and three aces.
Stevens’ Skylar Larson had 13 kills and 10 digs. Anna Sykora recorded 29 set assists, eight digs and two blocks.
Roosevelt plays Sioux Falls Washington in the championship match at 9 p.m. Central time today, while Rapid City Stevens plays Watertown for third place at 7 p.m. Central time today.

Aberdeen Roncalli 3, Pine Ridge 1
WATERTOWN — Aberdeen Roncalli defeated Pine Ridge 3-1 in a consolation match at the Class A state volleyball tournament Friday in Watertown.
Set scores were 25-21, 25-23, 22-25, 25-23.
Roncalli’s Abby Dockter had 16 kills, three blocks and two digs. Allie Lundquist recorded 24 set assists.
Pine Ridge’s Anissa Martin tallied 11 kills and 21 set assists in the loss.
Roncalli plays Wagner for fifth place at 2:45 p.m. today, while Pine Ridge plays Mobridge-Pollock for seventh place at noon today.
Dakota Valley 3, Belle Fourche 0
WATERTOWN — Dakota Valley defeated Belle Fourche in straight sets in the semifinal round at the Class A state volleyball tournament Friday in Watertown.
Set scores were 25-18, 25-6, 25-16.
Dakota Valley’s Hannah Bauer and Kylie Martin had nine kills apiece and Lindsey Smith recorded 29 set assists.
Belle Fourche’s Liz Day recorded 14 set assists and six digs.
Dakota Valley plays Sioux Falls Christian in the championship match at 8 p.m. today, while Belle Fourche plays Sioux Valley for third place at 6 p.m. today.
Sioux Falls Christian 3, Sioux Valley 1
WATERTOWN — Sioux Falls Christian beat Sioux Valley in four sets in the semifinal round at the Class A state volleyball tournament Friday in Watertown.
SFC returns to the championship match where it will play Dakota Valley at 8 p.m. today.
SFC defeated Sioux Valley 25-20, 25-15, 20-25, 25-15.
SFC’s Kristin Stern recorded 19 kills and three aces in the win. Hayley McCarron had 37 set assists, two kills and nine digs in the win. Brooke Van Gorp recorded 14 digs.
Haley Hillestad had 10 kills, five blocks and two aces for Sioux Valley. Kaylee VanderWal added 14 set assists, seven digs and two blocks.
Sioux Valley plays Belle Fourche for third place at 6 p.m. today.
Class B
Herreid/Selby Area 3,
Timber Lake 0
Herreid/Selby Area defeated Timber Lake in straight sets in a consolation match at the Class B state volleyball tournament Friday in Mitchell.
Set scores were 25-18, 25-19, 25-15.
HSA’s Shauni Schwartz led all players with 1e kills and added four digs and two blocks. McKenzie Frank had 17 set assists and seven digs.
Timber Lake’s Kristi Mettler had 12 kills and 16 digs. Courtney Dahlgren added 10 kills and three digs.
HSA plays Andes Central for fifth place at 1:45 p.m. today, while Timber Lake plays Lyman for seventh place at noon today.
