The convenience store in progress, at the corner of East First Avenue and Foster Street, planned to be open in a month and would offer off-sale beer, it was stated on this date in 2010.
The City Council ignored the advice of the Planning and Zoning Commission and voted to change the zoning in the area from High Density Residential to Neighborhood Shopping District, thus opening the door for off-sale beer sales.
