Driver smashes three windows at Unclaimed Freight

Three windows were broken at Unclaimed Freight Furniture in Mitchell when a vehicle crashed into the building Wednesday.

Three windows were broken at Unclaimed Freight Furniture in Mitchell when a vehicle crashed into the building Wednesday.

Judy Crist, 66, of Wessington Springs, was driving into the store’s parking lot in her 2008 Chevy when her foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas pedal. The vehicle drove onto the sidewalk and into three of the front windows, breaking all of them and bending the window frame.

No one was injured and Crist was not cited, but her vehicle sustained $450 in damage and the building sustained an undetermined amount of damage.
