Friday final day for compost pick-up in Mitchell

Compost may still be taken free of charge to the Mitchell Regional Landfill.

Friday is the final compost pick-up for this season in Mitchell. Compost may still be taken free of charge to the Mitchell Regional Landfill.

The Regional Landfill hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The compost drop-off site located at 1405 W. Eighth Ave. will be closing for the season on Wednesday, Nov. 21.

The schedule may change due to inclement weather. For more information, call 995-8465.
