A Mitchell man already on probation for a drug offense who was arrested last month for morphine possession has had his probation extended.
Austin Dorzok, 23, pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of morphine and admitted the charge was a violation of his probation from a 2011 marijuana distribution conviction. He was sentenced to three years of probation.
Dorzok was arrested Oct. 18 after Mitchell police allegedly found morphine and syringes used to inject morphine in his residence. Judge Rodney Steele extended Dorzok’s current probation to July 2016 and sentenced him to another three concurrent years of probation for the possession of morphine charge. Dorzok is required to complete a one-year drug rehabilitation program as part of his probation.
