Things to remember

QUICKBOOKS TRAINING SCHEDULED IN CHAMBERLAIN: QuickBooks webinar training sessions for both beginners and advanced users will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15 and Friday, Nov. 16, in the PAWS classroom, Chamberlain Elementary School, Chamberlain.

The beginners training will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday and advanced training will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity at Black Hills State University, Spearfish, and Casey Peterson and Associates, Ltd., have partnered to bring the classes to Chamberlain. Presenters are Theresa Hook and Leah Heidler, both of whom are certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors.

OLA PLAYERS SCHEDULE PRODUCTION: “Cooking Can be Murder,” will be presented by the Ola Players at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Nov. 15, 16 and 17; and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Ola Hall, south of Pukwana. Admission is $5.

FALL CONCERT TO BE HELD FRIDAY: The Dakota Wesleyan University fall music concert will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, in the Sherman Center, Mitchell.

The concert will include performances by Wesleyan Bells, University/Community Band and Highlanders. There is no charge for the performance.

Correction

A story on page B3 of Tuesday’s edition incorrectly identified a legislator. The Legislature’s Executive Board will select a replacement Friday for Rep. Steve Street, D-Milbank, on the Legislative Planning Committee because he was defeated in a bid for re-election last week.
