Bathke named director of resident care services

Brenda Bathke, RN, has joined Weskota Manor Avera, Wessington Springs, as director of resident care services. She will provide administrative supervision for the departments of nursing service, restorative therapy, pharmacy and activities.
Bathke has more than 12 years of experience working as a nursing supervisor at an adolescent care facility and as a director of nursing and charge nurse at long-term care facilities.
Bathke’s most recent position was nursing supervisor at Aurora Plains Academy in Plankinton from March 2009 to the present. She also worked at Golden Living Center in Armour and Prairie View Care Center in Woonsocket.
Bathke’s passion is long-term care and the care of elderly residents. She began her position at Weskota Manor Avera on Oct. 22. Brenda has a 14-year-old son and a 12-year-old daughter.
Mary Fouberg had served as director of resident care services for the past six years. She will assist with orientation and plans on staying on the team as a charge nurse.
