Jim Miskimins chosen as new Davison County state's attorney

Jim Miskimins will be the new Davison County state's attorney.
The Davison County Commission chose Miskimins for the post Tuesday. He will take over in December for outgoing State's Attorney Pat Smith, who was recently appointed by Gov. Dennis Daugaard to be a judge.
Miskimins currently has a private law practice in Mitchell. As state's attorney, he will prosecute local crimes on behalf of the State of South Dakota.
