Verifying the results of Tuesday’s General Election will be the main order of business when the Davison County commissioners meet at 9 a.m. today in the Commissioners’ Room at the courthouse, 200 E. Fourth Ave., Mitchell. Commissioners Kim Weitala and Jerry Fischer are expected to be absent. Former commissioner Bernie Schmucker and Tom Greenway have been recruited to take their places on the county canvassing board. The agenda also includes: 9 a.m.

• Canvass of General Election ballots.

• Executive session, regarding state’s attorney department personnel.

• Property tax refund, Department of Equalization.

• Raffle request, Powderhorn Ranch Regulators.

• Discussion of Christmas Eve holiday status.

• Automatic supplement to sheriff’s budget from hail damage reimbursements.
