Things to remember

LIBRARY PLANS USED BOOK SALE: There will be a used book sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, in the Community Room, Mitchell Public Library, Mitchell.

Donations of clean, usable books are always welcome and may be dropped off at the library during library hours. Proceeds from the book sales are used for children’s and young adult programming at the library.

ALPENA LEGION AND AUXILIARY HONOR VETERANS: A public bingo party and potluck honoring veterans will be at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Community Center, Alpena.

Please bring wrapped white elephant gifts for bingo prizes and your own table service.

The American Legion and Legion Auxiliary will hold a short meeting following the supper.

KIMBALL CHURCH TO HOLD PANCAKE BREAKFAST: A pancake breakfast sponsored by the Father O’Gorman Council of Knights of Columbus, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, at St. Margaret church, Kimball.

Cost is $4 for adults, $2 for children or $12 for a family. The menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, coffee and juice.
