Pre-legislative lunch planned for Dec. 11

The Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce will host a pre-legislative luncheon at noon Dec. 11 at The Depot in Mitchell.

The featured speaker will be David Owen, president of the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The luncheon is sponsored by the Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee.

Owen will provide a preview of the 2013 legislative session and provide an explanation of the November election regarding referred laws and initiated measures.

The cost is $15, with lunch included, and RSVPs are sought by Dec. 7.
