A Minnesota man was arrested during a traffic stop Oct. 29 in Mitchell after a South Dakota Highway Patrol trooper allegedly found Adderall, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the man’s vehicle.

Hunter Hale Gulden, 20, of Lake Elmo, Minn., was stopped on Interstate 90 near mile marker 320, about 10 miles west of Mitchell, because his vehicle’s exhaust was loud and leaking, court documents say.

During the stop, the trooper noticed Gulden appeared nervous, the documents say. After a drug dog was deployed, the trooper allegedly found three Adderall pills, a small amount of marijuana and some drug paraphernalia, including a marijuana pipe, in the center console of the vehicle.

Gulden faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine for possession of Adderall, a felony. He is also charged with possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.

He is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
