Kraft, Roth earn Class B cross country awards
WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Jase Kraft was honored with the South Dakota High School Cross Country all-state “Top 25 Award” for his efforts at the state meet.
WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Jase Kraft was honored with the South Dakota High School Cross Country all-state “Top 25 Award” for his efforts at the state meet.
The honor is awarded to the top 25 finishers in the state cross country meet and is given on a time basis for the three classes. Kraft also earned the Class B boys all-state award, which is given to the top nine finishers in each class.
Kraft placed second for the third straight year in the Class B boys’ race. He had a time of 16 minutes, 34.76 seconds in the 5,000-meter run.
Freeman’s Cailey Roth was given the Class B girls all-state award. Roth, a sophomore, finished in ninth place with a time of 16 minutes, 34.33 seconds in the girls’ 4,000-meter race.
