Beckman, Nelson say vows in White Lake wedding

Katie Beckman and Kale Nelson were married on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, White Lake, with the Rev. Andrew Swietochowski officiating.

Parents of the couple are Duane and Mary Jo Beckman, White Lake; and Jon and Mary Nelson, Elk Point.

Maid of honor was Julie Beckman. Bridesmaids were Kristine DuBois, Vanessa Norby and Kayla Sorsen.

Best man was Michael Strassburg. Groomsmen were John Myers, Tory Norby and Joe Millar.

Ushers were Donnie Beckman and Adrian Ries.

A reception was held at the American Legion, White Lake.

Katie is a 2008 graduate of White Lake High School, and a 2012 graduate of the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, with a degree in business administration. She is employed at Avera Sister James Care Center, Yankton.

Kale is a 2008 graduate of Elk Point High School and a 2011 graduate of USD with a degree in criminal justice. He is employed at Yankton County Jail, Yankton.

The couple will live in Yankton.
