Mitchell police respond to another reported shooting incident
The Mitchell Department of Public Safety is asking the public to avoid the area around the 700 block of West Second Avenue for what the department is calling an "emergency situation."By: Staff reports, The Daily Republic
The Mitchell Department of Public Safety is asking the public to avoid the area around the 700 block of West Second Avenue for what the department is calling an "emergency situation."
There are reports of a possible shooting at the scene and an ambulance has been called. Police are requesting no traffic in the area.
The incident comes just hours after police said a man shot and killed himself following a domestic dispute call on East First Avenue in Mitchell. That earlier incident drew a large law enforcement response, including a team with helmets and protective gear.
