A 46-year-old Mitchell man had a two-year prison sentence reimposed Tuesday after violating multiple terms of his probation.

Michael Keeble had been convicted of simple assault against a law enforcement officer and was on probation for the offense when he failed to complete intensive outpatient treatment, did not attend an aftercare program and did not appear at a scheduled appointment with his probation officer in August.

Based on the violations, Judge Rodney Steele said Keeble deserved to go to prison. “I think that you’ve left me no choice,” Steele said.

Keeble was given credit for the 30 days he has already served in jail.
