To the Editor:
As a farmer and rancher, I am giving a strong endorsement to Frank Kloucek for his election to the South Dakota Legislature. I have known Frank for more than 25 years and fully appreciate all he has done to move South Dakota forward.
Kloucek is endorsed by the National Rifle Association with an A rating and by the South Dakota Right to Life in its Primary Election Guide.
Kloucek initiated the efforts along with input from many livestock producers from across the country to pass legislation for the mandatory price reporting legislation passed in South Dakota. Kloucek continued his effort by visiting seven more states and going on a 24-hour auto marathon to Washington, D.C., to testify and work to ensure that the national mandatory price reporting became law. This personal effort is one of the reasons that better cattle prices are becoming the industry norm.
One needs to admire Kloucek and his ability to build coalitions between Republicans and Democrats, and that he will never tolerate bullying. He has the drive to work hard for small businesses, small towns, elderly, veterans and others. He strongly believes in local control of all school districts and is concerned that there is a level of growth for adequate state funding for all districts so students can succeed in their career potential.
I encourage the South Dakota voters of District 19 to support Frank Kloucek in the upcoming election and elect Frank to the South Dakota State Senate.
