A. Smith made $76,386.18 per year as state’s attorney, according to the Davison County Auditor’s Office. As a circuit judge, Smith will make $113,688.31 per year, according to Greg Sattizahn, director of the South Dakota Unified Judicial System’s Division of Policy and Legal Services. Every circuit judge in South Dakota is paid the same salary, Sattizahn said.
