Haunted Village will rise once more at museum

Dakota Discovery Museum will host the annual Haunted Village for children from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at the museum in Mitchell.

Dakota Discovery Museum will host the annual Haunted Village for children from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at the museum in Mitchell.

The event is free for families and children ages 10 and under. It will feature treat bag printing, pumpkin painting and refreshments. Trick or treating will be held at the 1885 territorial school house, the Beckwith House and the 1908 church.

Members of the Steampunk Technicians, Explorers and Aficionados of the Midwest (STEAM) will also be on hand. Donations are welcome and go to benefit the programs at Dakota Discovery Museum. For more information, call 996-2122.
