DWU drops GPAC volleyball match
LINCOLN, Neb. — Dakota Wesleyan University’s volleyball team dropped to 1-9 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference with a 3-0 loss to Nebraska Wesleyan Friday in Lincoln, Neb.
Set scores were 25-22, 25-17, 25-18.
Briana Jung had 28 set assists and 12 digs for the Tigers, who are 5-22 overall on the season. Rachel Tinklenberg led the team in kills with 10. Danielle Bird and Sammy Fluck each recorded seven kills. Bird also had 12 digs. Katie Lindow led the team in digs with 18.
DWU’s next contest is another GPAC matchup as the Tigers take on Midland University at 3 p.m. today in Fremont, Neb.
Two MHS girls’ soccer players make all-state list

The South Dakota High School Activities Association announced the all-state girls’ soccer team selections for Thursday and two Mitchell Kernels made the list.
Freshmen Bailey Hohn and Challie Jones both earned second-team honors, voted on by coaches of the SDHSAA sanctioned soccer programs.
