Huron school lets out early after fatal crash

Sixteen-year-olds Manny Martinez and Marisol Corona died last Sunday in a rollover near Alpena.

HURON (AP) — Huron High School students are being let out of class early as the school deals with the deaths of two teenagers in a car crash last weekend.

Sixteen-year-olds Manny Martinez and Marisol Corona died last Sunday in a rollover near Alpena.

The high school is ending classes at mid-day Friday. Superintendent Terry Nebelsick tells the media that the move is to enable students and staff to attend the funeral for Corona and to travel to Worthington, Minn., for an evening wake and Saturday funeral for Martinez.
