The win ended the regular season for both teams, giving the Hawks an 8-0 record.
Tieszen had 22- and 50-yard interception returns for touchdowns. He also scored on touchdown runs of 10 and 11 yards. He finished with five carries for 38 yards.
Cody Bunger opened the scoring for the Hawks, rolling to his left and finding the end zone on the team’s first offensive play. He also added a 7-yard touchdown and finished with seven carries for 36 yards.
Alex Robertson scored a second-quarter touchdown and had seven rushes for 50 yards.

GARRETSON — The Parkston Trojans shut out Garretson 21-0 in high school football action Thursday in Garretson.
Parkston’s Jesse Thuringer had 12 carries for 108 yards and one touchdown. Zach Scott completed 2 of 5 passes for 41 yards and Brady Reiff had two receptions for 41 yards.
Mitch Heisinger had 11 tackles, Andrew Semmler had seven and Henry Wegehaupt added six tackles for the Trojans.
Garretson’s Brady Mudder had 19 carries for 55 yards and Matt Johnson had 22 carries for 75 yards in the loss.
Parkston finished the regular season with a 6-2 record, while Garretson finished 4-4 on the year.

MOUNT VERNON — Cote Hinker rushed for 57 yards for Mount Vernon, but the Mustangs fell to the Howard Tigers 58-8 Thursday night. The final regular season football game for the two teams ended at half-time due to the mercy rule.
Luke Loudenburg rushed for 101 yards on nine carries for the Tigers. Cole Potter rushed for 82 yards on five attempts and Evan Donahue rushed for 79 yards on five attempts. Howard accumulated 207 total rushing yards. Landon Laible was 1-of-1 passing for seven yards. Potter led the defense with seven tackles and two fumble recoveries. Donahue and Jordan Kuhle added five tackles each.
Jared Long rushed for 15 yards on six carries in the loss. Mount Vernon accumulated 86 total rushing yards. Hinker led the Mustangs’ defense with six tackles.
