PICKSTOWN — Strong winds caused a camper to roll on U.S. Highway 18/281 at Fort Randall Dam around 10 a.m. Wednesday. South Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper Aaron Hanson said a pickup driven by Jason Tramp, 40, of Yankton, was pulling a 1969 13-foot camper.

Instead of taking the road below the dam, Tramp went on top of the dam. The camper flipped on its top about one-third of the way across the dam, Hanson said. Tramp and his son were not injured in the incident. Hanson estimated the camper sustained about $1,000 in damage.
