Man accused of hauling 74 pounds of dope in western SD
RAPID CITY (AP) — A California man faces drug charges after South Dakota authorities say they found 74 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of his rental car.
RAPID CITY (AP) — A California man faces drug charges after South Dakota authorities say they found 74 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of his rental car.
Sixty-seven-year-old William Spivey III, of Palm Springs, Calif., was stopped Friday for speeding about 10 miles east of Rapid City. The Highway Patrol says a police dog detected the drugs. Authorities also confiscated $1,500 in cash.
The media reports that Spivey made his initial court appearance via video conference Monday from the Pennington County jail. His bond is set at $200,000. He will enter a plea later.
