County to consider bids for moisture problems at the jail

The Davison County Jail could be a step closer to a final fix for ongoing moisture problems Tuesday when the county commissioners open bids to make extensive repairs to jail shower facilities.

The Davison County Jail could be a step closer to a final fix for ongoing moisture problems Tuesday when the county commissioners open bids to make extensive repairs to jail shower facilities.

Previous calls for bids drew no response, but Jail Administrator Don Radel said earlier this week there will be several bids to consider Tuesday.

Bids will be opened and considered at 9:30 a.m. as part of the commissioners’ weekly meeting at the county courthouse, 200 E. Fourth Ave., Mitchell.

The agenda includes:

Call to Order Pledge of Allegiance Approve minutes Citizens’ input

9:30 a.m.

Open bids for jail shower

9:45 a.m.

Highway Superintendent Weinberg Re: Purchase of a sign facing machine.

10 a.m.

Ramon Shultz, Tech Solutions Re: Wireless Meetings

10:30 a.m.

Set time and date for liquor license transfer

10:40 a.m.

Miscellaneous motions considered by the board Approve bills and time sheets Sign state and local agreement quarterly report Supplement sheriff’s budget Change date of future meeting from Nov. 6 to Nov. 8 due to a conflict with Election Day.

11 a.m.

Board of Adjustment
