New Underwood teacher charged with 4th-degree rape
The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office says 26-yearold Kyle Keegan was arrested Thursday night in Rapid City.
NEW UNDERWOOD (AP) — Bond has been set at $50,000 for a New Underwood high school teacher charged with rape.
The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office says 26-yearold Kyle Keegan was arrested Thursday night in Rapid City. Keegan made an initial court appearance Friday morning, where his bond was set. Keegan is charged with fourth-degree rape of a victim between the ages of 13 and 15 and sexual contact with a child under 16. Fourth-degree rape carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.
The New Underwood School District website says that Keegan teaches social studies at the high school.
